Labuan War Cemetery holds nearly 3,900 burials — predominantly Australian soldiers of the 9th Division, along with Indian, British and other Allied forces.
It is maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and commemorates those who died during the Borneo Campaign and the WWII occupation. It lies less than a kilometre from the airport.
