Labuan Geopark spans 402 square kilometres across the whole Federal Territory and was designated a National Geopark in December 2021.
Its geological formations cover roughly 35 million years of Earth history, from the Oligocene to the Miocene epoch. Eight official geosites take in the main island’s coastline and three surrounding islands. Entry is free and open-access, with the dry season from February to April best for exploring.
